Whistles & Ocarinas! Here are the ocarinas and whistles I currently have for sale. I have included sound samples for each ocarina. The
few melodies were chosen because they used the whole range of the ocarina so you could hear any airy or soft tones, or the
sweet tones of my better ocarinas. I use the 5 hole English style tuning, with an additional small hole for accidentals so there is no half-holing. (By the way, what IS an "ocarina"?) These ocarinas definitely
have a rugged, rustic look to them, which adds to the earthy style they possess. I prefer the hand-made look and feel, but
if you prefer a more exact, "clean" looking instrument, then these are probably not for you.
I have a few ocarinas that are not as perfect
as I'd like, but are still in perfect tune and would be great for little tykes or for beginners who still want to learn
to play and enjoy wearing the art. On these ocarinas I am willing to accept offers. Each ocarina comes with a small tutorial and a few
songs to play, but I have included in a file for download that includes many more songs and the full scale including sharps and flats. If you would like a song put into tabs, just
